Backyard Fun

Our neighbors have a cat that likes to come by and visit occasionally.  I didn't let the boys touch it at first, but it kept coming back and didn't seem afraid of them at all, so I suppose it's used to small children.  I started playing with it a bit and then Gabe took over.  Soren joined us a little later and I couldn't believe it didn't run away from two wild boys.  Gabe had so much fun with the kitty, but I'm not saying I want one!

The weather has been getting so nice lately.  It's fun to see the boys playing outside, climbing trees, exploring the backyard, and just being boys.  Sean trimmed some branches from the fig tree to keep the boys from peeking over the wall into the neighbors' yard.  They can still peek over the wall, but the branches were fun for them to play with and act like strongmen!

Saturday night we had our friends, the Browns, over for pizza and s'mores.  How did we go the whole winter without using our fire pit?  Oh well, it's very enjoyable in the Spring!  Our boys like roasting marshmallows, but they aren't so fond of eating them.  But they liked the chocolate covered graham crackers!  Brooke seemed to enjoy sitting by the fire.  She loves to be outside.  The boys had so much fun playing with Weston and Aurie.  The Browns lived next door to us when we lived in North Las Vegas.  They were some of the few people in our old ward who actually talked to us!  :)  It's always fun to catch up with them.

  1. Fun updates! Those toilet pictures were hilarious. I think it took my boys until past 3 years old to be potty-trained (and I fought and fought with Benny. I wish I had been more relaxed). Sweet pictures of Brooke, too.
