After celebrating several birthdays in August, the celebrating continued in September, beginning on the 1st with Grandma Peggy's birthday. We ordered a big cake as a combination for Grandma's birthday and Brooke's baby blessing on the 2nd. Then on the 18th, Soren turned four years old! When he woke up, I asked him if he felt bigger, and he said he did. So now we have a big four year old in the house! For just over a month, if people ask how old the boys are, they are four and two. That sounds much more manageable than a three and a two year old! But the end of this month it will be crazy again with a 4 and a 3 year old. :) This is what those silly boys were doing the day before Soren's birthday. I was inside listening to them splash a bit but when I looked outside, they had both stripped down to nothing!

| We were slowly letting the water out of the pool to put it away for the season. I guess they needed one more splash! |
Soren was excited about his birthday. We didn't do anything extreme, but it was a good day. He played with Gabe during the day while I made the chocolate Superman cake he requested. Earlier in the week I asked him if he wanted anything else to eat for his birthday besides cake and he said, "Yes. Frosting!" But then after asking him about FOOD, instead of treats, he said he wanted quesadillas for dinner. So when Sean came home from work, we went to play at the park for a while, then we picked up our dinner from Cafe Rio and brought it home to eat. After dinner he opened his presents and we ate cake and ice cream. He was in need of new clothes since he's pretty much grown out of everything, so he got a lot of clothes, and a few toys. He was pretty excited about everything, clothes and all!

| Time to give that little shirt to Gabe. |
| Look at those long skinny legs! |
| This expression makes me laugh. Now that he uses his Leap Pad, he's a lot more excited about it! |
| I did this freehand and I think it turned out ok. |
| He liked the frosting a lot more than the chocolate cake underneath. |
| That is a cute, happy four year old! |
More birthdays in the family followed with Uncle Taco's on the 21st, Mormor's on the 22nd, and Sean's on the 23rd. We also had Aunt Edie's and Gabe Gledhill's (Uncle Gabe) on the 25th. Lots of September birthdays! We had Gabe and Laurie Gledhill and their family over for Sunday dinner to celebrate Sean's and Uncle Gabe's birthdays.
| Sean didn't request a Superman cake, so we had a "Nothing Bundt Cake" instead. Delicious!!! |
| Garren and Jacobi helped Sean blow out the candles so Uncle Gabe wouldn't breathe his cold on the cake. :) |
| Uncle Gabe doesn't seem to want to be photographed, but Millan does! |
| For some reason, the boys love to attack Garren. He's a good sport! Soren chose his own outfit, by the way. He usually does a lot better than that. I would call this a Canarian outfit because it reminds me of the wild patterns people combined when I was in the Canary Islands. |

We went to Utah at the end of the month so Sean could have a couple of days off after a very busy opening of the school year, and so we could continue celebrating his birthday by attending the Utah State/UNLV football game in Logan. I forgot my camera, so I only took one photo at the game with my phone. It's of Sean in his red Rebel shirt surrounded by a whiteout of Aggie fans. Aggies won, by the way. We sat with long time friends of mine, Jill and Terry Toone, so that was a lot of fun. We also got to see our nephew, Austin Rowley, who is a freshman at Utah State. We were glad to hear he is loving it up there! His parents, Hillery (Sean's sister) and Casey Rowley were there, also. It was great to see them all. Hillery and Casey and the Toones were disappointed we didn't take the kids with us, or at least the baby, but it made for a much simpler trip for us to leave them at Mormor's house! Besides, it gave Ryan (my cousin Michelle's husband) an opportunity to practice being around a baby for a few hours while Mom and Michelle went to LDS Women's Conference. Ryan and Michelle are living at my mom's house while he is student teaching, and they are expecting their first child in February. Everyone survived, so I think they'll do just fine as parents! :)

It was a quick, but fun trip to Utah, even if Soren threw up four times on the way up and once on the way back. Poor kid! Sometime he gets car sick and other times he doesn't. The nice thing is he can USUALLY tell when it's coming and we can have a cup ready for him to throw up in. We weren't quite ready the first two times though, so he went through a few outfits on the way up. But we were able to visit with Grandma and Grandpa and Grandma Great in St. George, plus spend time with Mormor and the Haws family in Salt Lake, so it made for a wonderful trip! We love our family!

| Trying to get Soren and Gabe to cooperate at the same time is like herding cats! |
