Mother's Day (A Month Later)

I really wanted a family photo on Maddie's blessing day, but that didn't happen.  So for Mother's Day, all I wanted was a family photo before we all changed out of our church clothes.  It was tough to get everyone to cooperate after three hours of church, but we got a few amusing shots.  Better than nothing, and it's documentation of what life is like around here.  Brooke desperately needed a nap!

Soren changed clothes quickly!

I guess Brooke AND Gabe needed naps! Good times. :)

It was a nice day (before the nap time meltdown).  Sean made a good breakfast with sausage, egg, and cheese muffins.  Yum!  The boys sang some songs with the Primary in Sacrament Meeting, and that is always a highlight.  Janell and I made dinner so that Mom didn't have to.  I'm so thankful for my mom!

The boys made cards at preschool earlier in the week, and I was told not to read them until Sunday.  When I was able to read them, I found out it was "All About My Mom" and this is the info they had put in the card...

• Soren said I am 15 years old and Gabe said I'm 10
• Soren said I weigh 37 lbs. and Gabe said 30
• Soren said my favorite color is "every color in the rainbow," while Gabe just stuck with blue
• Soren said my favorite food is broccoli, and Gabe said lettuce
• Soren "My mom always says she loves me."
• Gabe "My mom always says, Where's Gabe?"
• My mom cooks the best quesadillas (Soren) / meat loaf (Gabe)
• My mom's job is "to do everything" (Soren) / "to clean the house with me" (Gabe)
• My mom laughs when "I stand on my head" (Soren) / "I tell jokes to her" (Gabe)
• If my mom had time, she would love to "play outside" (Soren) / "kiss me sometimes" (Gabe)
• My mom and I like to "play with toys" (Soren) / "clean the house" (Gabe)
• My mom really loves "her necklace" (Soren - it's one he gave me) / "when I give her kisses" (Gabe)
• I LOVE my mom because "she gives me balloons" (Soren) / "she does nice things for me" (Gabe)

 I thought that was pretty cute.  Funny that Gabe thinks I like to clean the house.  What that means is Gabe likes to spray any kind of cleaner, and then I wipe it up.  Or Mormor wipes it up.  As long as Gabe can spray, he's happy.  I'm so blessed to have these four beautiful children.  I'm lucky to be a mom!
