The Jensen Family's Little Viking Tales: Turning the Backyard into a Park!

The weather started to get nice here in March, so the trampoline went up. Then we decided we needed (wanted/needed) some swings and a slide. The Lifetime equipment store was having a home show sale, so we picked up an airplane/teeter-totter thing at the end of March, and a swing set with monkey bars and a slide. Hooray for a tax refund! The airplane thing took a long time to put together. It didn't look that hard, but it was tougher than it looked. Sean pretty much did it all by himself. I wasn't much help, as I was slowly recovering from having Maddie. Fortunately, the swing set wasn't as hard to put together, and I was feeling a little better and could help with that. The kids have been having a great time on all the equipment, and love it even more when there are other kids around to share it. It's so nice to not have to trek up to the park when I have Brooke taking naps, or when I'm nursing Maddie. I can just be right here at home, and the kids can be entertained in the back yard. The only thing missing is a fence to keep them in! Then again, the boys can climb over a chain link fence, and the other day, Brooke was found climbing the fence as well. Might have to look into a different type of fence if we even bother to get one. Brooke loves to take off for the neighbors' houses on all sides, so a fence would be nice. That little girl is a quick escape artist! Anyway, here are some pics of the back yard fun. Before it was all put together, we had one more good snow storm, so there are a few photos of that, too.
