Soren is Five!

I thought I already posted about Soren's birthday, but apparently not.  So continuing with the birthday theme...
Soren's last night as a four year old, showing off his fingers that got slammed in the garage door
Soren turned five on September 18th.  He had school that day, so I got to go in with him and read a story to his class and tell them a few things about Soren.  After school, we went for lunch at McDonald's and the kids had a great time playing in the play area.  Even Brooke got to climb around a bit and enjoy some of the fun.
My big five year old, ready for school!

Dallas and Lincoln had piano lessons with Mormor that afternoon, so they brought a fun monkey plate and bowl over for Soren.  After dinner we enjoyed the Hulk cake (which turned out better than Gabe's Batman cake because I didn't try to draw the Hulk in frosting), and Soren opened his presents.  He loved his new outfit and pajamas, and was excited about the toys and puzzles he got.  Some days he seems so big and grown up, and other days he's still such a little boy.  But he's full of energy and love and it's great when he can help out with things.  I think when the new baby comes, he'll all of a sudden be such a big helper.  I hope, anyway!  He's his momma's boy and I love him!

I love my superheroes!

Finally ready for bed with a flashlight and new pajamas!
