It's May?

I've been on a blogging hiatus... unintentionally.  I can't believe it's already May.  I've got to download the latest photos from the camera to see what we've been up to lately, but that would mean I'd have to go find the camera and the cord to plug it into my computer, and who wants to do that when I've got Brooke successfully penned in the living room while I write?  Not I! So I'll transfer some pics from my phone and briefly catch up from memory right now.

Last week my mom was in town.  Our friend, Candy Krausman, invited her to come down to give a presentation on Primary Music.  It ended up being a four stake event, and turned out really nice.  Mom had laryngitis not too long before coming, so we were all hoping and praying she would have a voice for this, and she did!  Another answer to prayers.  It was so great to have her here.  But time always goes by so quickly!

The Saturday she was here, our neighborhood was having a community garage sale.  We hadn't really planned on participating because Sean was supposed to be doing a training for work that day.  But on Friday, he found out he hadn't been registered for it, so at the last minute we decided to participate.  We could have done better if we had planned ahead, but for a quick effort, we did ok.  It was nice that Mom was here to keep Brooke entertained inside for the morning.  One of the people who came to see what we had was a black man.  We have some friends in the ward who are black, so it's not like the boys have never seen a black person, but I guess this guy was darker than most we have seen, so Gabe just out of the blue asked him, "Why do you have a chocolate head?"  The guy just started laughing.  Then Soren asked him why he was black.  We asked Soren why he was white, and then told the boys that's how God made us.  The guy thought it was pretty funny, and ended up buying some picture frames from us, so at least he wasn't offended.  Oh, these boys!

Soren is in his last month of preschool now, Gabe is still wearing diapers :(  and Brooke is getting busier and busier each day.  She still has only three teeth, (two on the bottom and one up top) but she slobbers a lot, has a runny nose, and gets a bit warm and whiny, so I'm sure more are on their way.  She makes the cutest sounds, likes to cruise around in her walker - especially outside, and loves to pull herself up on furniture and people and walk around holding on to things.  She just started waving and usually accompanies her waves with a big happy smile.

So that is the quick rundown without the good photos from the camera to support the story, but here are some phone photos just for fun.

This was Brooke at 10 months on April 22.  Didn't notice Gabe's rear end in the photo until I saw it on the computer!

This morning Brooke was climbing up to Gabe and just hugged him.  This is a lousy photo with the light sneaking through the blinds, but it was just so cute!
