Funny Bunny

I just sent Gabe over to the McCracken's house to deliver a treat to Ezzy for babysitting for us (for free - sweet girl) the other night when we went to the temple.  I asked him if he wanted to do it and he said, "Yes, but don't come with me.  I can do it myself."  So I agreed, and Brooke and I watched him from our driveway.  Soren and Gabe both love to go to the McCracken's house.  I love watching them run over there and make deliveries.  It's so cute!  But Soren was at preschool, so this was Gabe's solo flight.  He successfully made the delivery and then came running back home.  He ran up to me and in his little panting voice said, "Mom, I need to drink some more carrot juice so I can run faster."  I said that would be a good idea and we could go inside and make some so he could run fast like a bunny.  He said, "No, not fast like a bunny, fast like a people.  Because I am not a bunny, I am a people."  So there you have it.  Gabe is a people and not a bunny.  But he sure is funny!

Speaking of funny bunny, Gabe is really getting good at rhyming.  Soren is learning rhyming at school, but he just doesn't get it as well as Gabe does, which is kind of sad, but funny because Soren gets so frustrated.  Gabe will say something like, "Mom, does sock and lock rhyme?" and I will tell him yes and good job or something like that.  Then Soren will say, "Does green and house rhyme?"  and I will tell him they don't, and he growls and gets a frustrated look on his face.  Poor kid!  Every once in a while he'll get one right and I think he's got it, but then he goes back to words that don't even sound remotely alike.   I'll say two words that rhyme and ask him if they rhyme and he'll usually say no.  I don't know if he's trying to associate the words together or what, but he really struggles with the rhymes.  I'm sure he'll catch on soon, but I have a feeling there will be some competition between the two boys when it comes to grades, and everything else, for that matter!

Both boys are funny little bunnies.  Sometimes we find things around the house that just don't seem normal.  For instance, dinosaurs in a tree (nice touch, Soren), and the Book of Mormon stuck in the table (that was Gabe).
