Let's Go Fly a Kite!

The day Brooke was in the swing for the first time was also a first for the boys.  They flew kites!  We went to the park with Gabe's friend, Avery, and her mom, April.  April brought a bunch of kites so we could make good use of the wind that was blowing that day.  Soren started off with a Batman kite and did really well.  Then Gabe wanted to try it so he took over and Soren got another one.  They just stood there with them at first, but then decided they needed to run with them, so they started running all over the place.  They had a great time!  Today when we went to the park, I told them Avery would be there and Soren said, "Can we fly her kites?"  But the kites didn't make it out today, unfortunately!

The rest of the photos on this post are just some other random pics from my phone.  And speaking of random, I'll just write about this funny thing Gabe said the other day.  He was asking for some lemonade and I told him we didn't have any.  He said, "Yes we do, the kind in here" and he opened the kitchen cupboard.  I told him that was where we kept the Kool Aid, but that he and Soren had finished it a day or two before.  He shut the cupboard and said, "Dang it! Now I'm mad at you!"  I told him not to get mad at me because he and Soren were the ones who drank it all.  He thought for a second and then was distracted by something else and his anger was gone, just like the Kool Aid!  So glad he's easily distracted... and quick to forgive.  I wouldn't want him mad at me about Kool Aid!
