But Can't I?

We know these kids say some funny things, and I wish I could write everything down and remember it all, but that doesn't happen.  But when they say things more than once, it's easier to remember!
Here is an example of Gabe's latest:
Gabe: Can I have a cookie?
Me: No
Gabe: But can't I?
Me: No
Gabe: But can't I?
And he continues asking!  Or he'll say something like this:
Gabe: Do you want to play with this ball?
Me: No thanks.
Gabe: But don't you?
Me: Nope.
Gabe: But don't you?
Then he'll ask if we want to see something:
Gabe: Do you want to see this trick?
Me: Ok, but just a minute, I'm loading the dishwasher.
Gabe:  Well, just take a liiiiittle peek.
Or if he's building something out of blocks or tinker toys or whatever:
Gabe: Do you want to look at this?
Me: Yeah, just a sec.
Gabe: Well, just take a liiiiiiittle peek.
This boy has no patience.  We have to respond immediately to his requests!  Sometimes it's funny and sometimes it's annoying because I have no patience, either!  But I'm trying to just enjoy it because I know I will miss it when he doesn't want to share his tricks or projects anymore.

Here are some of my favorite Gabe photos.  Most of them are from last fall, but the last one is from January of this year.   You can see he just sleeps when he's tired.  Doesn't matter where!

He scared us at Mormor's in Sept... thought he had maybe wandered outside in the dark, but nope! Asleep in the corner!
