Since the boys had so much fun sledding in Mormor's backyard, we decided to meet up
with our friends, the Jergensens, and take on the big hill up by the
park. After a few days of searching for snow pants, we finally found
some for Soren. Who would have thought it would be so difficult to find
kids' snow pants in Utah in the middle of winter? But hooray for my
friend, Pat Peterson, and her idea to try Sears. They had the right
size and the right price! Soren loved the pants and kept them on all
day. He didn't take them off until it was time for pajamas that night.
The boys had fun sledding in the double sled, on the disc, and in their
bucket sleds as well. For the most part, it was without injury,
although Gabe had a good wipeout one time and didn't like the snow in
his face. I kept telling him "You'll be fine" to which he responded in
his sad little cry, "No I won't." But he got over it and continued
sledding. We stayed for about three hours. I was surprised at how long
they lasted, and I was impressed at how well Soren and Gabe shared the
sleds and played together. It doesn't always work that way. I thought
both of them would be exhausted and want a nap, but only Gabe
succumbed.
