Christmas Decorations

I've been in Las Vegas since 2001 and it's still strange to me to see Christmas lights and decorations when it's warm outside.  Last month seemed even warmer than usual.  That would be nice right about now, as our highs for the past few days haven't even reached 40 degrees (maybe sounds good to my Utah friends and family, and others dealing with single degree or even negative temps right now)!  Anyway, Vegas just doesn't usually get that cold, so decorating for Christmas while wearing shorts is a little funny, but that's how it was done this time.  On December eighth, Sean put up lights and a cute manger scene in our yard.  Some of our neighbors really go all out, especially the couple across the street from us, as you will see in the background of one of the photos.  It was fun for the boys to see the lights and decorations this year.  They catch on to more and more each year, which is why we wanted the manger scene, so they could start to understand that Christmas is about Christ, and not just Santa Claus.  But I admit, the excitement about Santa and reindeer and all that other stuff is fun to see in these boys.  More on that as I continue to catch up!
This is what Brooke was doing while the decorations were being put up.  Just sitting in the stroller looking cute!
The boys were riding in shorts and t-shirts. Notice the neighbors' yard and all their decorations.
Gabe and Soren and the Baby Jesus.  And Dad in the background wrapping the tree with lights!
The finished product, with the star in the window that stayed up all year long because our blinds are broken and it's a pain to take down! :)
