What do these three things have in common? Sean and I celebrated our seventh anniversary on December 22. It was also the day Brooke turned six months. So how did we celebrate? We took the kids to meet up with our friends, the Hillers, at the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory and Cactus Gardens! First, we walked through the factory (which always reminds me of the "I Love Lucy" episode with Lucy and Ethel working at the chocolate factory. Hey wait! This just occurred to me... Ethel M? Ethel Mertz? I just looked it up and I guess it technically stands for Ethel Mars, but I'm going to call it the Ethel Mertz Chocolate Factory from now on). We got our free chocolate sample, and then wandered outside through the cactus gardens. The lights were pretty, but the kids weren't as interested in them as I thought they might be. They were glad to see their friends, Claire and Miles, but none of them seemed to want to linger too long outside. So we took a few photos and decided to get some dinner at Fatburger. The kids had a lot more fun eating and playing at Fatburger than they did in the gardens! But I was too busy eating to take photos at dinner, so the photos here are of course from the Ethel MERTZ Chocolate Factory and Cactus Gardens!

| Gabe fell asleep on the way there, even though it's only 10-15 minutes from our house. |
| Gabe is much more cooperative than Soren when it comes to photos. |
| Brooke took the photo. ha ha. |
