We had such a great time at Lagoon with the cousins on the 23rd of July, that we decided to take advantage of the "bounce back" offer and return on the 24th! We had 9 of the 12 Watkins grandchildren there on Monday. We decided Baby Brooke wouldn't enjoy it too much yet, so she stayed with Mormor. Kara Shropshire opted to stay with them, and Erik Budge was in Michigan. But those who were there included Sidney, Coleman and Kimi Shropshire, Dallas and Lincoln Haws, Caitlin and Jack Watkins, and Soren and Gabe.
Our first ride was one of the kiddie rides called the Ladybug Drop or something like that. Soren decided before we got on that he didn't want to do it, so he waited with Sean. Gabe rode with me, not knowing what was in store. As the ride dropped us the first time, he had a very uncertain look on his face. We dropped again and he said he was scared. I told him it would just tickle his tummy and it was fun. A few moments later, he said, "I'm done." I told him the ride wasn't over and we'd have to wait to get off. It dropped us another time or two and he calmly said, "I'm really, really done." Fortunately, it's didn't last much longer and we got off. He rode lots of other rides that day, but did NOT want to do that one again!
Everyone had a great time on the rides and at the water park. It was fun to be with the cousins, and Soren especially had a great time with Kimi. We don't get to see the Shropshires much since they live in South Carolina, so it was good for everyone to get better acquainted. I wish we all lived closer to each other!
